Amur Gas Chemical Complex says construction 19.5% finished
MOSCOW, Jun 30 (PRIME) -- Construction of a U.S. $10–11 billion Amur Gas Chemical Complex of Russian petrochemical holding Sibur and China’s Sinopec is 19.5% finished, it said on Wednesday in a statement published on its telegram channel.
“The progress of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex project amounts to 19.5%. At the construction site, 155 units of equipment and 1,096 personnel are working,” the statement read.
The production capacity of Amur Gas Chemical Complex will amount to 2.3 million tonnes of polyethylene and 400,000 tonnes of polypropylene per year. The launch was scheduled for the end of 2024.
